Deze aandoening ontstaat door een tekort aan het enzym lactase, dat de lactose afbreekt.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"645\" height=\"335\" src=\"https:\/\/degezondheidswinkel.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Lactose-intolerantie.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22585\" srcset=\"https:\/\/degezondheidswinkel.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Lactose-intolerantie.jpg 645w, https:\/\/degezondheidswinkel.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Lactose-intolerantie-300x156.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 645px) 100vw, 645px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Probiotica en prebiotica zijn interessant voor mensen met lactose-intolerantie omdat zij de gastro-intestinale flora kunnen regelen en zo de vertering van lactose kunnen bevorderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Opzet van de studie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Deze meta-analyse van de Universiteit van Santiago de Compostela bekeek 9 artikelen met in totaal 304 deelnemers. 8 onderzoeken gingen over probiotica, 1 onderzoek ging over prebiotica. Het onderzoeksteam evalueerde de invloed van prebiotica en probiotica op de symptomen van lactose-intolerantie.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De belangrijkste uitkomsten waren lactose-absorptie (gemeten via de waterstofademtest) en maag-darmklachten geassocieerd met lactose-intolerantie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resultaten van de studie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Van de vijf studies die een waterstofademtest gebruikt, waren er die een verbeterde lactose-absorptie meldden. Zeven studies rapporteerden symptomen van lactose-intolerantie (buikkramp\/pijn, diarree, braken, opgeblazen gevoel en winderigheid), waarvan er zes een verbetering van de symptomen constateerden bij suppletie met pre- of probiotica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belangrijk om op te merken is dat de opgenomen studies een grote heterogeniteit vertoonden. Van de acht studies naar probiotica waren er drie naar afzonderlijke stammen, en vijf naar combinaties van twee of drie stammen.\u00a0Alle studies bestudeerden een of andere soort Lactobacillus, waaronder L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, L. plantarum, L. reuteri, of L. rhamnosus.
